Imagine a man in a room on a quiet suburban street. He is typing at a computer, writing as if for his life. He writes all night long, his face a mask of concentration, hands moving so fast they blur.
Imagine if he were not just typing for his life, but for the lives of us all. Imagine that he is writing to hold back the night - to keep back a darkness like no other: a darkness that might just consume us all.
Imagine a man in a room on a quiet suburban street. One night he looks up and out of the window. He sees you. He does not smile; he does not even acknowledge you. He simply returns to his writing, because it is the most important thing in the world.
You stand and stare, wondering what it is he writes. You shiver and realise that the night just got darker.
